With the beginning of a new season, comes fresh inspirations, new collection releases and the revamping of our beloved wardrobes. It’s an interesting time in fashion as, radical design ideas are thriving, trends are evolving beautifully, and of course, Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2019, introduced to us a medley of fresh talents and new trends. In this post, we list the six latest collections, we are ecstatic about.

Jaipur Love by Anita Dongre

Anita Dongre has always had an affinity towards the pink city- Jaipur. Her new collection titled ‘Jaipur Love’ portrays an extraordinary intermingling of cultures and weaves magic with every thread. The collection is inspired by the magnificent art and architecture of the city, which is brought alive by the intricate embroidery. Offering heavy bridal lehengas, light Indian wear and menswear outfits, ‘Jaipur Love’ has something for everybody. In bright pink and red hues, the ethereal lehengas will be every Indian bride’s dream. The entire collection is a true celebration of India’s beauty and extraordinary togetherness.

The Koi Series by Shivan & Narresh

The Koi series by Shivan & Narresh is inspired by the tribal aesthetics of the indigenous art form-Gond Art. The decorative motifs, patterns and luscious drapes compliment every holiday mood. The Koi series includes 6 prints characterised by dots, dashes, lines and circles. Capturing the inner nuances of the art form and the designers travel experiences, the collection is envisioned for the millennial who loves exploring. Vibrant hues, eclectic patterns and delicate fabrics, brought the art form to life and left us craving for a vacation.

Amrapali X Confluence

Who wouldn’t love a piece of jewellery from Confluence with crystals from Swarovski? And when they partner up with luxury jewellery brand Amrapali, you can be sure, that the jewellery will speak of nothing less than magic! Amrapali is known for its heirloom-worthy jewellery that personifies the heritage of India with a modern eclectic twist. Combine their beautiful aesthetics with Swarovski crystals and you get a one-of-a-kind collection of jewellery. Inspired by Mughal architecture, the collection is packed with scene-stealing pieces that are perfect for the festive season and will prove to be conversation starters.

JJ Valaya X Confluence

Another designer that joined the Confluence family is one of our favourite Indian Couturiers- JJ Valaya. Much like his clothing, his first jewellery line speaks of royal elegance and timelessness. The collection titled ‘The Ranas of Kachch’ combines elements from The Ranas of Nepal and the life of the free-spirited Nomads of Kutch. With a beautiful fusion of sensibilities and aesthetics, the collection brings out a unique and soulful contradiction in design.

The Grey Heron

The Grey Heron is coveted for its comfortably chic outfits that distinguish the wearer in the crowd. What we love about the brand is the zero-waste concept that they believe in! They brilliantly come up with innovative ways to use every last piece of fabric by adding them as trims or even making accessories. Majorly inspired by the Japanese culture, the brand creates breezy outfits that heavily focus on the approach of ‘less is more’ and high-quality clothing with exceptional craftsmanship.

Kshitij Jalori

Kshitj Jalori’s eponymous label is deeply rooted in textiles and Indian art forms. The absolutely refreshing collection titled ‘Moulin Rouge’ was showcased at Lakmé Fashion Week-WInter/Festive ’19 and grasped our attention immediately. Inspired by the Jazz age and art deco of the ’20s and ’30s, the collection featured highly stylized indo-fusion silhouettes in vibrant hues and gorgeous embroidered motifs.
